WebMoves Policies Guide
Introduction:
This guide is intended to provide a brief description of some basic rules that apply when using our services. These rules are applicable to all WebMoves members and exist to make WebMoves a safe and enjoyable place to connect Furniture Removalists with members who seek them.
Signing Up:
Users must supply a valid email address when signing up. Without a valid email address members will not be able to communicate with other WebMoves members and WebMoves itself. Email accounts that utilise spam checking software that prohibits WebMoves messages from being relayed are considered invalid. In signing up, you'll need to ensure the validity of your email address, or your account may be suspended.
In order to become a WebMoves member, you must be at least 18 years old.
Circumventing WebMoves Fee Structure:
In amost all circumstances, you may not use any information provided by WebMoves to make offers directly with other users outside of the website.
Acceptable circumstances in which negotiations may take place between users include:
- Should the job requirements change after a bid is accepted, if both parties still wish to proceed, they may renegotiate the price direct. They may not cancel the job through WebMoves.
Even though offers outside of the WebMoves service are not always intented to defraud there are some serious risks and considerations to doing so:
Obligations for Carriers:
Bidding: Successful bids made through the WebMoves service form a binding contract. Bidding on a job with no intention of carrying out the service is not permitted. Cancellation by the Carrier of a successful bid may incur a cancellation fee. This fee is variable and is calculated according to job specifics and is presented before a bid is placed.
Obligations for Clients:
Opening a Job For Bidding: The acceptance of a bid forms a binding contract. Cancellation by the Client of a job after acceptance may incur a cancellation fee. This fee is variable and is calcualted according to job specifics and is presented before bidding is opened.
After Acceptance: If, after an offer is accepted, you find you no longer want the job done, or do not make someone available for the pickup on the day the Carrier nominates, a withdrawal fee will be payable unless the Carrier agrees to another date or time.
Withdrawals:
Withdrawals Prior to Acceptance: Both Client or Carrier may withdraw their offer prior to acceptance without consequence.
Withdrawals By the Client After Acceptance: Should the client cancel or not avail either themselves or the consignment, as per the agreed job requirements, the Contractor reserves the right to cancel the job and receive the value of the withdrawal fee.
Withdrawals By the Carrier After Acceptance: In the event that the Carrier is unable to fullfil the accepted job specifics and is forced to withdraw, the Client reserves the right to cancel and receive the value of the withdrawal fee. The Client also has the option to re-open their job for bidding.
