Filling Out Your Moving Details...

Setting up an account is important so that you can access your quotes in the future and so that you be contacted about any bids that have been placed on your move. In order to set-up your account simply enter your email address (this willl be your username) and enter a secret password. The strongest passwords combine both alpha and numeric characters and contain more than 9 characters. The minimum requirement on our system is 6 characters.

If you open more than one move for bidding, it's handy to use the same username and password so that you can view all your quotes and bookings together on your "Account Page".

For your move to run as seamlessly as possible, it is important that the winning moving company knows what they're in for when they arrive at the pickup and delivery destinations. Be sure to provide accurate details of any access issues or special requirements in the "List any Access Issues here" field on our "Quotes Page" when filling in your move details. Such access issues can have a dramatic effect on quotes for your move, so it's imperative that they are communicated to bidding moving companies from the start.

Pickup and Delivery Suburbs: We have a pretty comprehensive list of suburbs in our database, but new suburbs are popping up all the time. If the suburb that you're moving from or to does not appear in the list then choose the next closest suburb and make a note of the actual suburb in the "List any Access Issues here" field.

Floors and Lifts: The floor that you're moving from or to can impact on your quotes. If you live in an apartment building it's important that you list the floor level from the start. If a lift is available select "Yes" from the "With Lift?" field - otherwise it's assumed that the winning moving company will have to carry the furniture up stairs. If you're moving from or to a two-storey house leave the "Floor Level" field as "GND" (ground).

Communication is key to the success of any move, so make sure that you are contactable around the time of pickup and delivery. Keep your mobile handy, charged and turned on at all times when your move is in progress. It's also a good idea to provide as many contact numbers as possible and list another person who can act on your behalf should you become unavailable or uncontactable for any reason.

For our member moving companies to provide you with the most competitive bids for your move it is important that you list all items that are to be moved. An accurate list means an accurate quote!

We've tried to make our inventory cover as many common household items as possible. If you need to move an item that is not on the inventory, simply enter it's details into the "Unlisted Items & Special Handling Requirements" field at the bottom of the inventory on our "Quotes Page".

We're flexible with how long your move is open for bidding. You can set bidding to stay open from 24 hours to 2 weeks. Remember that the longer you leave your move open for bidding, the more chances that our member moving companies will have to quote against each other for it. Not all of our member moving companies have a team in the office who can bid for them. Many are out in their trucks for extended periods of time with little chance of making a bid until they get to a computer. So, the longer you leave your move open for bidding, the greater the chance of getting the best quote for your move.

You can accept any bid placed on your move at any time. After the bidding window has closed you will have an addtional 24 hours to accept any bids that have been placed on your furniture removal.
